The peculiarity of the task in the exhibition halls of the National Museum of Kazakhstan was the need to take into account several dominants elements of the interior: a lightbox with a complex configuration placed on the floor/ceiling, existing moveable narrow wall panels, and requirements for the navigation of visitors. We wanted to find a solution that would allow us to completely change the image of the hall with minimal construction costs. The solution was comprised of several ideas: firstly, “enclosing” the floor/ceiling lightboxes into the walls and creating a separate corridor — an “attraction”, in which the light and specular reflection created the ideal background for the photo shoots of typical contemporary visitors. Secondly, the formation of an enfilade from the halls was created with the help of mobile panels, which set up various scenarios for viewing the exhibition.
