In working with the Ivanov Hall exhibition space of the Russian State Library, we set ourselves the task of strengthening the system infrastructure remaining from previous exhibitions by creating a thorough, general artistic solution. This approach utilised the system of arches — stylized like wooden architecture of the second half of the 19th century — the layout of which arranged the design of the halls, and the form and decorative solution set the overall style of the exhibition. The first floor of the exhibition covers topics related to the deeds of Alexander II during his reign. The deep "toneless" green color becomes the background for placing exhibits of the most diverse typology. The overall color of the second floor is a vibrant, rich, noble mustard color — the color of darkened gold, and the monogram of Alexander II. This floor is reserved for Alexander II's life story — from the moment of his birth, through the period of his upbringing, his education, travels in Russia (“his matrimony with Russia”) to his marriage and coronation. A special place is reserved for several multimedia installations.
