The five letters that make up the name of the play and the theatre piece of the same name by Viktor Gusev in 1935 become the starting point for a stage space solution. The word is interpreted as an image, a sculpture, a sound and an object, a space for personal associations. Starting from the idea of canonizing the hero through carving his image in stone, we carved out the word "GLORY" making him a full participant in the action. The letters — the scale of which dominates the figures of the actors — together with a modest set of decorations, form a single sculptural space that becomes the background for successively alternating scenes of the play.
